The real problem is developers being lazy. I can understand why they use it, they can concentrate more on the art, and less on the engineering, its just a shame that by and large, that philosophy doesn't seem to be working out...

HD-DVD would have been better. Storage is the same, but it spun like a regular DVD...
And the studios are shafting the blu-ray adoptors with lame DVD ports without TRUELY upgrading the picture and sound. Blu-Ray=POINTLESS.
